Obituary

Sunbury – Sarah Holshue, 104, formerly of Elysburg, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2022 at the Mansion Nursing Home in Sunbury.

Born in Shamokin on November 15, 1917 she was the daughter of the late George and Carrie (Shuey) Holshue. She worked for 46 years at Blough-Wagner where she retired from being a machine operator. She was a member of the Elysburg Presbyterian Church.

Sarah is survived by two nieces, Donna Wilkinson and her husband, Maurice of Sunbury, and Kay Knapp and her husband, Gerry of Paxions; as well as many other nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Holshue, Florence Holshue, Gladys Cole, John Holshue, and Robert Holshue; and niece, Sally Ross.   

 

FUNERAL NOTICE

Sarah Holshue, 104, Mansion in Sunbury – Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being cared for by Farrow-C.J. Lucas Funeral and Cremation Service, 240 W Chestnut Street, Shamokin, Lori Ann Campbell, Supervisor. In lieu of flowers please send memorial contributions to the Ralpho Township Public Library, 32 S.
