Ruth L (Schilling) Miller

Wyomissing – Ruth L. Miller, 76, of 1801 Cambridge Ave, Apt A22, passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021 in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born on November 7, 1944 in Des Plaines, IL she was the daughter of the late Walter and Dorothy (Petersen) Schilling.

On October 16, 1965 in Blakely, Pennsylvania, she married Richard P. Miller. Together they shared 55 years of marriage. She retired as a secretary from Graco Children’s Products after 24 years of service. Ruth was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Reading, PA.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her children all agree that she was the most sacrificial mother as she lived for taking care of her family and was always doing something for someone else.  Her Christian walk never wavered despite going through six years of cancer treatments.  She always had a smile on her face no matter how she felt or what she was going through at the time. 

In addition to her husband, Ruth is survived by two sons, Wade B. Miller of VA, and Brent R. Miller and his wife, Angela of Mohnton; a daughter, Lynnette D. Gessner and her husband, Marc of Wellsville; a grandson, Nathan Miller; three granddaughters, Alanna Miller, Jessica Miller, and Katie Gessner; a brother, Alan Schilling his wife, Marge of IL; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wade and Lillian (Peterson) Miller; and a sister-in-law, Patricia and her husband Dr. Richard Albright.

Ruth L. Miller, 76, of 1801 Cambridge Ave, Apt A22, Wyomissing – Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 11:00 am with Pastor George Traub officiating at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Coal Township.
