Rodger R Facer

Shamokin – Rodger R. Facer, 66, of 201 W Mulberry Street, Apt 308, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

Born in Frankfurt, Germany on December 5, 1955 he was the son of the late Ruby (Mayer) Facer. He attended school in Mount Carmel. He served in the U. S. Coast Guard.

On September 24, 1994 in Shamokin he married Joann Assid, who survives. He worked in Harrisburg at the United States Postal Service. He was a cook at BJ’s in Selinsgrove.

In addition to his wife, Rodger is survived by a son, Rodger Facer, and his wife, Samantha of Lemoyne; three daughters, Michelle Assid of Shamokin, Stephanie Baker and her spouse, Cherilyn of Florida, and Darnell Renn and her fiancé Kendal Hansen of Shamokin; three grandsons, Dylan Walters, Rodger Facer, Jr., Jesse Hansen; four granddaughters, Della Snyder, Dalysa Lewis, Nevaeh Hlavaty, and Eleanor Facer; two brothers, George Facer and his wife, Sharon of Palmyra, and John Facer and his wife Nancy of Virginia; and two sisters, Peggy Camp and  her husband, Foster of Mount Carmel, and Melony Daya and her husband, David of Mount Carmel. In addition to his parents, Rodger was preceded in death by his Father-in-law, Joseph Assid; and his Mother-in-law, Estelle Bennicoff.

Rodger R. Facer, 66, of 201 W Mulberry Street, Apt. 308 of Shamokin – Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 11:00 am with Pastor Paul Eby, officiating at Farrow-C.J. Lucas Funeral and Cremation Service, 240 W Chestnut Street, Shamokin, Lori Ann Campbell, Supervisor. Burial will be held following the service at Northumberland Memorial Park, Sunbury. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers please send memorial contributions to defray funeral expense to Farrow-C.J.
