Ralph F. Nard

Coal Township – Ralph F. Nard, 89, of 1800 W Holly Street, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital.

Born in Kulpmont on February 8, 1933 to the late Anthony “Tony” and Mary Nard. He graduated from Kulpmont High School in 1951. He served in the United States Army and the Navy during the Korean War.

He married Dorothy Steffon, who preceded him in death. He retired from Revlon Cosmetics in New Jersey as a warehouse manager. He worked at paper magic.

Ralph is survived by a son, Michael Nard and his wife, Jean of Coal Township; a grandson, Michael Nard of Kulpmont, and John Cartnell of Shamokin; two step-daughters, Kathy Shuey of Shamokin and Susan Durdock of Bethlehem; and a step-brother, David Durdock of Dunmore. In addition to his wife and parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his father-in-law, and mother-in-law, Walter and Anna Steffon; and two sisters, Betty Ragowsky and her husband, Jack, and Louise Knopp and her husband, Carl.
