Marissa Diane Birster

Shamokin -Marissa Diane Birster, 28 of 927 E. Sunbury Street, passed away Friday January 21, 2022 at the Harrisburg Hospital.

Marissa was born March 4, 1993 in Danville, PA. She was the daughter of the late Shawn Robert Birster and Dianne Michelle Reichwein.

Marissa attended Shamokin Area High School.  Marissa had the biggest heart and touched so many lives. She cared so much about everyone around her; but, her family was what she valued the most, including those family members who were not related by blood. Marissa always put others needs above her own, especially for her children, who were her world. She was always very opinionated and outspoken, creative, crafty and making some kind of gift for someone to show her love!

Marissa is survived by her mother, Diane Reichwein and her companion Michael Bell of Philadelphia; her stepfather, Cornell Delvalle of New Jersey; three sisters, Stormie Birster and her companion Ramsey of Shamokin, Diamond DelValle, and Michaela Bell; two brothers, Booker Delvalle and Bridgeton Delvalle of Shamokin; three children, Ella Rain Chapman, Eli Anthony Wetzel, and Cameron Lee Wetzel; Many aunts and uncles, two special aunts who mentored her throughout her life, Melissa Taylor and Jen (Birster) Wilkins; and 13 cousins, Jacob, Michael, Thomas, Jana, Autum, Courtney, Alyssa, Breanne, Amber, Pete, Rory, Shawn, Audrey, and Ethan; and a niece Aralyn.  Marissa was preceded in death by her son, Isiah Eugene Wetzel; her father, Shawn Robert Birster; and Grandmothers, Connie Gulba and Janet Birster.

FUNERAL NOTICE

Marissa Diane Birster, 28 of 927 E. Sunbury Street, Shamokin – Funeral Services will be held Monday, January, 31, 2022, at 1:00 pm at the Mountainside Assembly of God, 1900 Trevorton Road, Coal Township.  Burial will follow at Saint Joseph’s Cemetery, Locust Gap.  Viewing will be help prior to the service from 11:00 am until the time of  service.  Memorial contributions may be made to Farrow-C.
