Karen Humes

Selinsgrove – Karen Humes, 70, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2023, at the Selinsgrove Center, Selinsgrove.

Born in Shamokin on August 13, 1953 to the late Robert G. and Alma D. (Hydera) Humes. Karen lived at the Selinsgrove Center, where she was provided with loving and excellent care for 64 years. The Selinsgrove Center was a blessing to her family.

She enjoyed trips to Knoebel’s Grove, and vacationing at the beach in Ocean City, Maryland. She loved to spend time with her sister, visits where she would run with her brother-in-law, Barry. Karen would be often found holding a round beaded item in her hands.

Karen is survived by a sister, Roberta L. Cramp of MD; a niece, Karyn M. Taylor and her twin children, Kathryn M. MacRae, and Brendan B. MacRae of NV; two step-nephews, Lloyd M. Cramp, and James B. Cramp and his wife, Lynne; and a cousin, Helen Lupold of Shamokin. In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Barry S. Cramp.

Karen Humes, 70, Selinsgrove - A Funeral Service will be held Friday, September 8, 2023 at 11:00 am with Father Joshua Cavender, officiating, at the Selinsgrove Center, 1000 Route 522, Selinsgrove, PA, 17870. Viewing will be held prior the service from 10:00 am – 11:00 am in the Selinsgrove Center. Burial will be held following the service at Odd Fellows Cemetery, 2400 Trevorton Road, Coal Township, PA, 17866. Arrangements are being cared for by Farrow-C.J.
