Lock Haven-Gordon Lee Corter, 82, passed away Friday, March 4, 2022 at Williamsport North Rehabilitation & Nursing.
Born in Lock Haven on January 30, 1940, he was the son of John Harris Corter and Vivian Ann (Carpenter) Corter. He graduated from Lock Haven High School in 1958. He served in the United States Army, before working at the Clinton Paper Company & Champion Parts.
Gordon enjoyed spending time with his grandsons and rarely ever missed one of their sporting events. He enjoyed building and flying RC planes. He also was a late model stock car driver for many years. In his younger years he enjoyed playing in a band, and continued to play the organ throughout his life. Gordon enjoyed camping at the Grange Fair for nearly 50 years. Family members always looked forward to his great cooking. He will be greatly missed.
Gordon is survived by a son, Dwayne Corter and his wife, Brenda of Beech Creek; a daughter, Holly Corter of Lock Haven; two grandsons, Logan Corter and Andrew Corter; a sister-in-law, Wanda Sagmuller; a nephew, Wally Corter; and a niece, LeAnn Vargas. He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his brother John Harris Corter.
Gordon Lee Corter, 82, Lock Haven-Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 11 AM with Pastor Chris Davis officiating at the Liberty Baptist Church, 100 Bald Eagle St, Blanchard, PA 16826. Burial will follow the service at Swissdale Cemetery. Viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:00 am-11:00 am at the church. Arrangements are being cared for by Farrow-C.J.
