Coal Township- Barry Lee Carsto, 62, of 1000 W Willow Street, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Shamokin on February 28, 1960, he was the son of the late Robert Carsto and Mary Louise (Britton) Carsto. He served in the United States Army.
On June 13, 1992 in Shamokin, Barry married the late Tammy Hoover. He worked for a contracting company as a drywaller.
Barry is survived by his significant other, Tammy Hine; three daughters, Vanessa Major and her husband Stephen of Elysburg, Caylee Hoover of Coal Township, and Jessica Jakes and her wife Charisma of Sunbury; five grandsons, Dalton Hoover, Christoper Bowers, Isiah Bowers, Airicin Hoover, and Holden Hoover; five granddaughters, Bethany Wesloskie, Emylee Hoover, Nevaeh Hoover, Atalie Major, and Paisley Major; a brother, Robert Carsto and his wife Robin of Royersford; a sister, Wendy Shirvinski and her husband Joseph of Mechanicsburg; a sister-in-law, Margaret Shirmer of Aristes; a brother-in-law, Thomas Hoover and his wife Linda of Bloomsburg; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, Barry is preceded in death by a brother, Matthew Carsto; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Thomas and Margaret (Smith) Hoover; and a brother-in-law, Kevin Pilkus.
Barry Lee Carsto, 62, of 1000 W Willow Street, Coal Township-Memorial Service will be held Friday July 29, 2022 at 11:30 am with Reverend Doctor Michael Goodling, officiating at Farrow-C.J. Lucas Funeral & Cremation Service, 240 West Chestnut Street, Shamokin. Lori Ann Campbell, Supervisor. Burial will be held at Fort Indiantown Gap, Annville.
