Shamokin – Thomas Frank Quinn, 68, of 170 E. Dewart Street, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2026 at his home. Born in Shamokin on February 18, 1958 to the late Thomas Frederick Quinn and Sonia (Wallick) Quinn, who survives. He attended Ephrata and Shamokin Schools. He enjoyed the outdoors, including hunting, fishing and camping. He was an avid cook, frequently trying new recipes and savory concoctions. He was the former manager and co-owner of Quinny’s Pub in Shamokin, which was a quintessential experience.
Over the years, he enjoyed golfing and was active in billiard leagues, bowling and dart teams. He was a very active member of the Fairview Gun Club and the Pastime Club. He had membership with the following organizations: Fairview Gun Club, Pastime Club, Rescue Engine and Hose Co., Independence Fire Assoc., Main Fire Co., West End Fire Co., East End Fire Co., Brady Fire Co., West Cameron Nimrods Club, St. Francis Home Assn. and the Loyal Order of Moose.
In addition to his mother, Thomas is survived by a son, Thomas Jordan “TJ” Quinn of Florida, a daughter, Nicole Homsey, granddaughters Liliana Quinn, Emma Homsey and grandsons Nicholas and Benjamin Homsey of Florida; a sister Tammy Quinn of Minnesota, a brother Terry Quinn of Texas; and uncle, Joseph Quinn, Coal Township; numerous cousins and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, Thomas is preceded in death by several aunts, Jean Quinn (1944), Nancy (Quinn) Krieger (2012), Andrea (Wallick) Reiner (2022); an uncle William Quinn (2004); a cousin Shawn Quinn (1995) and a nephew, R. Matthew Marcum (2017).
