Susan L. Whary

Coal Township – Susan L. Whary, 65, of 1536 Pulaski Ave, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at her home.

Born in Shamokin on March 30, 1960 to the late Charles and Janice (Petrovich) Bechtel. She graduated from Shamokin High School in 1977.

She married Samuel Whary, who survives.

In addition to her husband, Susan is survived by two brothers, Marlin Bechtel and his wife, Catherine, and Robert Bechtel; a sister, Janice Daniel and her husband, Robert; a step-daughter, Donna Leisey husband, Jeff; four step-grandchildren, Tia Raymer, Terry Kuhlmann, Destiny Raymer, and Christian Whary; four step great grandchildren, Blair, Emmett, Bobby Jr., Pharom; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Bechtel; and a sister-in-law, Cathy Bechtel.
