Skyler M Derk

Shamokin – Skyler M. Derk, 23, of 1017 N Liberty Street, passed away Sunday, June 20, 2021 in her home.

Born in Bloomsburg on June 12, 1998 she was the daughter of Lisa Derk, and the late Brian Schweitzer. She attended Shamokin High School.

Skyler enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her greatest joy was her two children, Sora and Octavia.

In addition to her mother, Lisa Derk and her companion, James Tracy of Shamokin, Skyler is survived by a son, Sora Derk of Shamokin; a daughter, Octavia Derk of Shamokin; three sisters, Shara Derk of Strong, Jordan Pawelczyk of Shamokin, and Madison Reigel of Shamokin; two aunts, an uncle, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her father, Skyler was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Marylou Derk; Paternal Grandfather, Albert Schweitzer; Paternal Grandmother, Linda Giarth; and an uncle, Albert Schweitzer, Jr.
