Shawn Hornberger

Shamokin – Shawn Hornberger, 48, of Shamokin passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025 in Shamokin.

Born in Shamokin on August 9, 1977 to the late Bryan and Sandra (Straub) Hornberger, Sr. He attended Shamokin High School.

On July 10, 2010 he married, Michele Urbanowicz, who survives. He worked as a welder and a truck driver.

In addition to his wife, Shawn is survived by two daughters, Jeanna Attinger, and Megan Attinger; a grandson, James Attinger of Shamokin; three brothers, Bryan Hornberger, Jr. and his wife, Jessica of Shamokin, Christopher Hornberger of Shamokin, and Richard Hornberger and his wife, Jolene of Ranshaw; sister-in-law, Natalie Hornberger of Shamokin; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Shawn was preceded in death by his parents.
