Scott A. Maurer

Coal Township – Scott A. Maurer, 57, of 1219 W. Independence Street, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Shamokin on October 27, 1967 to the late Walter and Margaret (Hodge) Maurer. He worked for Milko Industries, Bloomsburg.

Scott is survived by companion of 15 years, Grace Bateman, of Coal Township; two sons, Zackary Maurer, and Tyler Maurer; and their mother, Lynn (Dowling) Maurer; a step daughter, Jilliam Thomas and her companion Ben Geiswhite; two step sons, Christopher Bateman and Shawn Bateman; four granddaughters, Gianna Maurer, Aislynn Maurer, Melissa Sedor, and Emily Thomas; five step granddaughters, Joslyn Geiswhite, Grace Bateman, Aubrey Bateman, Madyson Bateman, and Becca Gooler; a step-grandson, Douglas Bateman; two sisters, Rose Bickert and Sharon Tloczynski and her husband Robert; and one sister-in-law, Andrea Maurer. In addition to his parents, Scott was preceded in death by a son Eric Maurer; a brother, Walter Maurer and a brother-in-law, Thomas Bickert.

Maurer, 57, of Coal Township – Celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 3:00 pm at Farrow-Campbell Funeral & Cremation Service, 240 W Chestnut Street, Shamokin, Lori Ann Campbell, Supervisor.
