Kulpmont – Robert James Fobia, 82, of 301 N 6 th Street, Timberwood, Apt 103, passed away February
11, 2021 at his home.
Born in Mount Carmel on November 6, 1939 he was the son of the late Nicholas and Sylvia (Arnoldi)
Fobia. He went to Mount Carmel Schools. He was a member of St. Peters Church in Mount Carmel. He
served in United States Military.
On January 20, 1990 in Shamokin, he married Catherine Eva Reedy, who preceded him in death. He
worked at the Dye and Bleach Plant. Robert was loved by all, and he had a heart that would help anyone
with anything. He enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys.
Robert had a love for playing guitar and would often be found playing and singing with his niece,
Kimberly.
Robert is survived by his niece, Kimberly Hine and her husband, Tom of Trevorton; a sister, Bernadette
Fobia of Mount Carmel; great nephew, Tommy Hine, Jr.; The Hine Family; The Fobia’s’ all his dear
friends, Life Geisinger, Timberwood family, landlord Lisa, and Linda Boganic; his pets, Tika, Raven, and
Tiny; Nieces, Nephews, Cousins; his Godchild; Sister-in-laws, and Brother-in-laws. In addition to his wife
and parents, Robert was preceded in death by a brother, Peter Fobia; and a sister, Lacreda Fobia.
