Coal Township – Judy Marie Dressler, 81, of W. Wood Street, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, September 11, 2026.

Born in Bloomsburg on March 21, 1945, Judy was the daughter of Bruce Allison and Florence Leona (Shaffer) George.

She was a 1964 graduate of Southern Area High School.

On January 6, 1968, at the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in Shamokin, Judy married the love of her life, Paul Lee Dressler, who survives. After raising two sons, she later worked as a teacher’s aide and then in food service at Shamokin Area Elementary School.

Judy was a faithful servant with unwavering faith and love for the Lord. As a dedicated member of the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church for nearly sixty years, she sang in the choir, taught children’s church, prepared countless meals, and served in any way necessary.

She was a dedicated gardener, an avid crocheter, a talented baker, and loved spending time with her family, especially her seven grandchildren and her great granddaughter.

In addition to her husband, Judy is survived by two sons, Wade Dressler and his wife Melanie of Maryland, and Scot Dressler and his wife Carrie of Germany; four grandsons, Thomas and his wife Holly, Scot, Isaac and his fiancée Kamryn Dixon, and Joshua; three granddaughters, Margaret and her fiancé Jacob Sachleben, Georgia, and Charlotte; a great granddaughter, Josephine; two brothers-in-law, Donald Dressler and his wife Jayne, and Kenneth Schultz; two sisters-in-law, Norma Horne and her husband Donald, and Donna White and her husband Rick. In addition to her parents, Judy is preceded in death by her brother, Roger George, her sister, Janis Schultz, her sister-in-law Marian Weikel and husband Art, her brother-in-law James Dressler and wife Larue, and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Charles and Esther (Ritzman) Dressler.

FUNERAL NOTICE

Judy Marie Dressler, 81, of Coal Township – Funeral Service will be held Monday, September 21, 2026 at 11:00 am, at Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, Shamokin, with Reverend Scott Dressler, and Pastor Rudy Sheptock, officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Burial will be private at Northumberland Memorial Park, Sunbury. Arrangements are being cared for by Farrow-Campbell Funeral & Cremation Service, 240 W. Chestnut Street, Shamokin, Lori Ann Campbell, Supervisor.
