Paxinos – Joseph Madrak,79, of 132 Mayfair Rd., passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at Providence Place Senior Living, Pine Grove.
Born in Shamokin on September 8, 1946, to the late Stanley and Mary (Fitzpatrick) Madrak. He attended Coal Township High School. He worked in a factory.
On January 1, 1966 in Shamokin, Joseph married Barbara Clark.
Joe was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Being Dad and Pappy were his favorite pastimes. He loved to spend time laughing with all. He was a loving and caring husband and son, who took care of both his wife and mother.
In addition to his loving wife, Joseph is survived by three children, Joseph Madrak Jr. and his wife, Blythe of Kenneth Square, Deborah Swartz, and her husband, Carl of Lock Haven, and Stephen J. Madrak and his wife, Lori of Enola; four grandsons, Joseph Madrak III, Stephen Madrak Jr., Jason Madrak, and Kole Swartz; two granddaughters, Julia Madrak, and Victoria Madrak; two brothers, Stanley Madrak and his wife, Sandy of Shamokin, and Thomas Madrak and his wife, Betty Ruth of Texas; and a brother-in-law, Blain Clark. In addition to his parents, Joseph is preceded in death by a father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Grace (Bachus) Clark; a brother, James Madrak; and a sister-in-law, Judy Clark.
FUNERAL NOTICE
Joseph Madrak ,79, of Paxinos– Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 11:00am, with Reverend Joseph Scanlin officiating, at Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, Elysburg. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00am until time of service. Burial will follow at Northumberland Memorial Park, Sunbury.
