Janet L. Sener

Coal Township – Janet L. Sener,76, of 1224 W. Willow St., passed away Thursday, December 25, 2025 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Shamokin on June 2, 1949 to the late Eugene and Hettie (Reed) Barnes. She graduated Shamokin Area High School in 1967. She worked in child care at a Day Care Center.

Janet is survived by her daughter, Nancy Sener; and two brothers, John Barnes and his wife, Rosemarie of Coal Township, and David Barnes Sr. and his wife, Donna of Coal Township. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by two sisters, Carol Reed and Nancy Harring.

Funeral Services held Friday, January 2, 2026, at 11:00am, with Pastor Josiah Ott, officiating at Farrow-Campbell Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc., 240 W Chestnut Street, Shamokin, PA, Lori Ann Campbell, Supervisor. Viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:00 am – 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Northumberland Memorial Park, Sunbury.
