James Michael Neibauer

Ranshaw – James Michael Neibauer, 75, passed away on September 30, 2025, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Shamokin on June 22, 1950, he was the son of the late Joseph and Sarah (Wheary) Neibauer. He was employed with the railroad as a conductor and break man for 12 years.

He was also employed at Goulds Pumps, Contempri Homes, International Paper, and Milton Steel. He was a carpenter, and even worked in a private coal mine. He served in the United States Army and was a proud member of the 2nd armored division. He also served as president of the Ranshaw Civic Association and was a baseball coach for Brady Fire Company.

On July 25, 1970, in Shamokin, he married Violet Knapick, who survives. James was a devoted member of the Ringtown Aurand Memorial United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Brady Fire Company and Redman Club. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, James Michael Neibauer, Jr. and his wife Terri; two daughters, Karen Segedy and her husband Scott, and Mary Ann Christiana; three grandsons, J. T. Neibauer, III and his significant other Angela Miranda, Jahad Neibauer, and Scottie Segedy, Jr.; five granddaughters, Jayna Hollenbach and her husband Nate, Aneesa Neibauer, Emma Violet Taylor, Kimmy Chyskosky, and Sammie Chykosky; a great grandson, Moses Hollenbach; 2 great granddaughters, Luna Hollenbach and Galilee Hollenbach; two sisters, Mary Bowers, and Sally Beck and her husband Chuck; a sister-in-law, Chrissy Chykosky and her husband Emil; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a father and mother-in-law, Oliver and Mary (Etzel) Clark; a stepbrother, Marlin Wheary; and a brother-in-law, Chet Bowers.

FUNERAL NOTICE

James Michael Neibauer - Funeral Service will be held Friday, October 3, 2025, at 11:00 am, with Reverand Julian Milewski, officiating at Farrow-Campbell Funeral & Cremation Service, 240 West Chestnut Street, Shamokin, PA, Lori Ann Campbell, Supervisor. Viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:00 am – 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Kulpmont Protestant Cemetery, Kulpmont. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ringtown Aurand Memorial United Methodist Church, 217 W Main St, Ringtown, PA 17967.
