SHAMOKIN – Larue Eva Dressler, 101, of 201 W Mulberry Street, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital, Coal Township.
Born in West Cameron on November 29, 1924 to the late William and Carrie May (Kramer) Gessner. She attended West Cameron Schools.
Larue was employed by Shroyers Dress Factory as a finisher. She was a member of Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Coal Township, and was previously a member of Bethel Chapel in West Cameron.
Larue is survived by two sons, James Dressler and his wife, Debbie of Riverside, and Charles Dressler and his wife, Melissa of Coal Township; a daughter, Cathy Pay and her husband, Mark of FL; a grandson, Samuel Dressler and his fiancé, Ashley Creighton; four granddaughters, Samantha Scovack and her fiancé, Daniel Richardson, Briana Ray and her husband, Michael, Rebecca Dressler, and Stephanie Dressler; two great grandsons, Nicholas Logan, and Karter Ray; and two great granddaughters, Kaylynn Renner, and Kendra Ray. In addition to her parents, Larue is preceded in death by 6 siblings, Charles, Jerome, Lillian, John, Marlin, and Helen.
Larue Eva Dressler, 101, of Shamokin - Graveside Service will be held Monday, July 6, 2026 at 11:00 am with her son, James Dressler, officiating, at Gowen City Lutheran Cemetery, Gowen City.
