Elizabeth Louise Andrulewicz (Smith) passed away on November 13, 2021 at the age of 90. Born in
Sunbury, PA on May 30, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Sophia (Jaworski) Smith. She
was raised on a farm in Danville, PA along with her siblings. “Betty” loved the outdoors and had an
attachment to all things flora and fauna. She enjoyed long walks in the woods, sitting on the countryside
observing the seasonal landscapes and caring for all the farm animals.
Betty received the Rite of Baptism at St. Michael the Archangel Parish in Sunbury, PA. On May 28, 1955
she married Stanley John Andrulewicz, Sr, who preceded her in death, at Our Mother of consolation
Church in Mt. Carmel and together, they raised two sons in Kulpmont. Prior to marriage, she was
employed by Merck. She also worked at Geisinger Medical Center.
Betty had many hobbies to include baking, drawing, gardening, and decorating her home. She was a
voracious reader and loved reading to her grandchildren when they were younger. She also enjoyed
playing piano and, in her youth, participated in the family’s band.
Elizabeth is survived by her son Stanley J. Andrulewicz, Jr and his wife Mary of Savannah, GA, her other
son Mathias Andrulewicz, Sr. and his wife Cheryl of Perryville, MD. She leaves behind grandchildren
Elizabeth Silva and husband, James, and their children Dominic, Gianna, and Azalie from Newton, CT;
Mathias Andrulewicz, Jr. and his wife Rachel who live in Melbourne FL; Nicholas Zachariah Andrulewicz,
Townson MD; Andrew Andrulewicz, NY; Emalee Cann and her son Logan of Savannah, GA; and Virginia
Edens of Calera, Alabama. Elizabeth is survived by a sister, Frances Wondaloski and many nieces and
nephews.
She was also preceded in death by siblings, Charles Smith, Larry Smith, Helene Nye, and Sophia Bartol.

Elizabeth Loise Andrulewicz (Smith) - A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday July 15, 2022 at 1:00 PM at
Holy Angels Church, Kulpmont. Burial will be held following the service at All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg.
