Barbara Heim

Coal Township – Barbara Heim, 82, of 932 Tharp Street, passed away June 22, 2025 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

Born at her home in Shamokin on November 6, 1942 to the late Frederick and Ervada (Webber) Wurst. On February 22, 1963, Barbara married Edward Heim, together they shared 61 years of marriage.

Barbara was a 1959 graduate of Shamokin High School. She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Shamokin.

She worked as an aide at Mountain View Manor and Adult Day Care for a combined 32 years. After retirement, Barbara worked as a CNA for Shamokin Hospital.

In addition to her husband, Barbara is survived by two sons, Edward Heim and his wife Lauri of Coal Township and Kevin Heim and his wife Tanya of Shamokin; two granddaughters, Nicole Krieger and her husband Kyle and Ashley Iwanski and her husband Richard; a grandson, Kevin David Heim and his companion Alexus; two great grandsons, Richard Iwanski and Elias Iwanski; three great granddaughters, Dahliya Iwanski, Cecilia Krieger and Nora Krieger; three brothers-in-law, George Bohner and his wife Kay, Gene Bohner and his wife Karen and Dan Bridi; three sisters-in-law, Carol Micheal, Nancy Heim and Lori Bohner, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by a sister, Janice Auman and her husband Frank; a father and mother-in-law, Calvin Edward and Irene (Yocum) Heim; four brothers-in-law, Calvin Heim, Boyd Bohner, Ralph Heim and William Micheal; a sister-in-law, Sharon Bridi, and many aunts and uncles.

Barbara Heim, 82, of Coal Township – Celebration of life will be held July 8, 2025 at 12:00 pm at Farrow-Campbell Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc., 240 W Chestnut Street, Shamokin, Lori Ann Campbell, Supervisor.
