Anjinette “Ginny” (Leffler) Jurewicz
Shamokin - Anjinette “Ginny” (Leffler) Jurewicz, 50, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. Born in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia on January 22nd, 1975, she was the daughter of the late Alice (Ghezzi) Leffler and Robert A. A. Leffler, who survives.
Ginny attended grade school at West Catholic and was a graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes Regional High School, Coal Township. She attended Clemson University in South Carolina.
In 1997 Ginny moved to Denver, CO and worked as the office manager for Ruth’s Chris Steak House for seven years, becoming an integral member of the Ruth’s family and developed deep and lasting friendships. In 2004 she moved back to Shamokin, PA and became the service and parts supervisor at the family car dealership, B&L Chevrolet. On August 16, 2014 she married David Jurewicz at Our Lady of Hope church in Coal Township, PA.
Besides being hard-working, brilliant and beautiful, Ginny also had infectious enthusiasm for life and was always a joy to be with. She was the main event at many a football tailgate and she delighted in taking her nephews and niece to amusement parks and making Easter and Halloween baskets for them that would last the year. She was the greatest dog mom ever, bringing home strays, Scruffy, who terrorized the Edgewood neighborhood, and her best friend, Finn. In addition to her sense of humor and generosity, she was known for her kindness that was unmatched in this world.
In addition to her father, Ginny is survived by a sister, Lara Leffler Thomas of Manhattan, New York; two brothers, Robert Leffler and his wife Jennifer (Butkey) of Elysburg, PA and Andy Leffler of Rutherford, NJ; three nephews and a niece, Gabriel Leffler, Aaron Leffler, Andrew Leffler and Lucy Leffler; an uncle, Bert Ghezzi; five aunts, Marie Gaydon, Cathy Ghezzi, Jean Barvitski, Cecilia Fink and many cousins. In addition to her mother, Ginny is preceded in death by, maternal grandparents, Albert and Monica (Reck) Ghezzi; paternal grandparents, Jack and Lorraine (Shervinski) Lamey; a sister-in-law, Ashley Nahodil and two aunts, Adeline Farrow and Ursula Cujan.
FUNERAL NOTICE
Anjinette “Ginny” (Leffler) Jurewicz, 50, of Shamokin – Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, August 15, 2025, at 11:00, with Father Tim Geiger, officiating at Our Lady of Hope Church, Coal Township. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and Friday, August 15, 2025, prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at Farrow-Campbell Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc., 240 W Chestnut Street, Shamokin, Lori Ann Campbell, Supervisor. Burial will follow the funeral mass at Saint Edwards Cemetery, Coal Township. There will be luncheon in Ginny’s honor at Mausser’s immediately following her burial.
