Louis P Yost, Sr

Shamokin – Louis P. Yost Sr., 56, of 521 Chestnut Road, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 30, 2019 with his family and friends at his side.

Lou was born July 17, 1962, he was the son of the late Helen (Yost) and Thomas A. Bickert Sr.

On December 18, 1982 he married Lisa M. Holman, who preceded him in death.  They had two children together, Lena and Louis Jr.

On September 29, 2001, he married Marianna (Chapman) Leiby, with whom they have a son, Nathaniel.

Lou had his own painting business until 2006, when he was injured in an ATV accident.

Lou was known for his quick wit, even up until the end, he could always put a smile on your face.  He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and playing pool; one of his favorite places was going to the Loyalsock

Creek in Sullivan County.  He also enjoyed watching his sons play football and his daughter cheerlead.  He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan.

He is survived by his wife Marianna and his sons, Louie and Nate; three brothers, Mike Yost of Shamokin; Thomas Bickert and his wife Rose of Shamokin and John Bickert of Sunbury; his best friend, Don Schuck as well as aunts, uncles, many nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to his parents and his first wife Lisa he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lena Marie Yost and a sister, Theresa Marie Bickert.

Louis P. Yost Sr., 56, of 521 Chestnut Road, Shamokin – Funeral services will be held Friday, July 5, 2019 at 10:30 am, with Pastor Kiki Marcheski, officiating, in the Farrow-C.J. Lucas Funeral Home, 240 West Chestnut Street, Shamokin, Lori Ann Campbell, Supervisor.  Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Coal Township.  Viewing will be held in the funeral home on Friday from 9:00 am until the time of service.  To send condolences to the family please visit www.farrowhf.com
