Marc Andrew Shaw

Shamokin – Marc Andrew Shaw, 36, of 447 S. Harrison Street, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at his home.

Born in Shamokin on March 13, 1987 he was the son of Frank Ebright and Karen Shaw. He graduated from Shamokin Area High School. He was a loader at Walmart Distribution Center for 11 years. He appreciated his co-workers’ friendships and looked forward to meeting them for lunch every Tuesday. He also looked forward to going on lunch dates with his daughter and father, along with making pierogies and learning family recipes at his Aunt Theresas house. He grew up fishing, hunting, boating, and camping. Also, he had a passion of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Freddy Krueger. He liked playing basketball from an early age, when he started playing for a team called Janies Café. He was also a big Cheese Head for the Green Bay Packers. He was a member of the East End Fire Company, Coal Township.

Marc is survived by his daughter, Kiera Alexis “Daisy” Shaw; father, Frank Ebright of Shamokin; a sister, Kathren Shaw and her companion, of Coal Township; a nephew, Jarrod Shaffer of Coal Township; maternal grandparents, James and Rose Shaw; paternal grandparents, William and Effie Ebright; six uncles, Darrell Hepler and his wife, Mary, Jimmy Shaw, Joseph Ebright and his wife, Carol, Henry Ebright and his companion, Beth Smith, Daniel Ebright, and Uncle Beetle; seven aunts, Theresa Boyer, Lynn Dolo, Rita Lesher, Tracey Shaw, Mary Ann Sotonak, Deb McKell, Patty Ebright; and two dogs, Chloe and Rockie. Marc was preceded in death by his mother, Karen Shaw; four uncles, Kenneth Boyer, Joe Sotonak, William Ebright and his wife, Cindy, and Kenneth Ebright; and an aunt, Stacey Ebright.
